Synerra co-founder on Parapolitika 90.1 radio

Co-founder Sokratis Vlachakis joined Konstantinos Lavithis on Parapolitika 90.1 to talk about Synerra, water emergencies on the Aegean islands, and the biodiversity on our doorstep.

Our developments

Sokratis Vlachakis on his experience of being hosted on Parapolitika radio in September 2026:

"It was great to join Konstantinos Lavithis on Parapolitika radio to talk about Synerra | Climate Action yesterday, the organisation George V. Comninos and I founded this summer.

We started Synerra because so many people feel overwhelmed by climate news and unsure how it connects to their daily lives, or what they can actually do about it. We want to help make that knowledge clearer and more useful, and to shine a light on the people and communities already finding solutions. In the conversation we focused on two issues close to our hearts:

  • Water. Many Aegean islands faced water emergencies this summer. We talked about where our water goes, from irrigation to leaking networks, and how desalination can help when it is part of a wider plan that includes renewable energy, care for marine life and support for municipalities.

  • Biodiversity. Many of us are unaware of the natural wealth right next to us, like the oak forests of Kea, where we chose to base Synerra.

We also spoke about listening to residents of environmentally degraded areas and bringing together municipalities, regions and the private sector to strengthen local climate plans.

The segment runs from 22:30 to 36:00 (in Greek). Thank you to Konstantinos Lavithis for the invitation!"
