Meet the board, part 2 of 4.

Christos Papagiannis, Secretary General of the Young European Federalists.

Based in Brussels, Christos leads the secretariat of the youth branch of the European federalist movement (JEF), rooted in the ideas of Altiero Spinelli, one of the intellectual architects of European integration. He is in year 3 of a PhD in political economy, teaches research methodology at VUB, and studied across Athens, London and the Netherlands. Before that he worked in research and digital media, including for the dpa German press agency and Eteron Institute.

His research sits where democracy, environmental policy and climate misinformation meet. A good deal of the next decade will be decided at that intersection, and Greece has a lot to gain from having it covered.

He also knows what building something from nothing takes, having co-founded a venture of his own.

Fun fact: Christos's journey to the board was unconventional... one of our posts crossed his feed citing research he had written himself, he looked us up, and then got in touch.

Christos, thank you for joining us.
